Support the NVHCEF with your Donation

Your donation to the Nicola Valley Health Care Endowment Foundation has a direct impact on health care in the Nicola Valley. Donations will be placed in the general fund to be disbursed to the area of most need. You can also specify that your funds go directly into one of our trust accounts, and your donation will only be spent on projects that match your specific giving directions: Nicola Valley Health Centre - Gillis House - Community Outreach - Berta Fraser Centre - Hospice

The NVHCEF is set up to accept online donations and cheques. You can also donate publicly traded securities, or consider a bequest - as part of your will - a way to leave a lasting legacy in the community. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

Donate online through the CanadaHelps platform, you can choose from one-time and monthly donations at any amount. Donations over $20.00 are eligible for a tax receipt.

You can also indicate whether the donation is in memory or in honour of someone else, a wonderful way to remember a loved one and their legacy.

Donate Securities

By donating Appreciated Securities directly to the NVHCEF you pay no tax on the capital gains, plus you receive a receipt for the full market value of your donation, entitling you to a generous tax credit. The CanadaHelps platform offers a convenient way to donate securities online. Complete the online form and receive a Letter of Direction for your broker to complete the transfer. The settlement typically takes 1 - 2 working days and you will receive a donation receipt via email.

Fundraising and Donation Matching

If you are interested in organizing a fundraising event to benefit the NVHCEF, please contact us. We would love to offer our support and materials for your event, and also provide the required permissions to promote or advertise the foundation. Donation matching is another option you might be interested in and we will act as liaison to your employer to help organize your fundraising project.

Did you know?

The NVHCEF has helped improve health care in the Nicola Valley since 1984 and supported many different initiatives, like the purchase of blood analysis equipment, patient care bed lifts, ultrasound equipment, X-Ray equipment, Cystoscopy and Ureteroscopy equipment, construction of the Berta Fraser Centre, expansion and renovation of the Emergency Room, and much more.
